A Single Carnation

My single carnation from Valentine's Day a week later, plus some,  has fully opened and it's been in several photographs of late and hopefully, will be in some more before it finally shrivels up and is no more. After shooting the flower by itself in the vase, I added two empty vases to the shot for a different look. The quote comes from Monet who had lovely gardens with many flowers that he used for his famous painting. The texture is "Felicity" from Kim Klassen and is being shared with her Texture Tuesday.
