Camellias

On my walk a few days ago, I came across some discarded camellias-maybe they were blown off in the  windy weather we have had recently, but I thought I would give them a little extra time before they completely turned brown and shriveled up. The top photo was taken with my DSLR and the bottom three were shot with my iPhone. For the larger photo, two layers of Happy Heart texture were added after running the photo through RadLab. The triptych photos were shot with the Hipstamatic app using the Melodie lens and the DreamCanvas film.

"The Door to Happiness Opens Outward"

Image shot at Wormsloe State Historic Site near Savannah with a Leica d-lux5.  Rad Lab actions, plus two layers of "evolve2"  texture by Kim Klassen were used with the texture brushed away from the face. Sharing withTexture Tuesday-the Open edition.

Texture Tuesday-Movie eDition-Lady in White

For Texture Tuesday-the Movie eDition. Lady in White, a 1938 film. Basically, the photo only alludes to the name of the movie, not the plot. I took two photos, one without the figure and one with the figure. The two photographs were merged, then ghostly figures attained by adjusting the opacity of that layer. Next the "plaster" texture from Kim Klassen was  used. Lastly, a levels and curves adjustment.
